2021 Festival

Family friendly event with lots to see and do!

The Act-Belong-Commit Dalwallinu Arts Festival 2021 was held over Friday 10th and Saturday 11th September 2021. This event marked the 25th biennial festival since the first one was held in 1973.

The 2 day Arts festival was a resounding success with an estimated 1000 people visiting the exhibition, attending the official opening, attending workshops and makers markets.

The Committee would like to sincerely thank everyone for their support this year, from Sally Hobday, the Sponsors, Local Business’ and People who were immensely generous, The Musicians, the incredible volunteers, the Dalwallinu Shire, the Workshop artists, the Artists entering their art and of course the public for coming along and being involved.

We had many comments on the quality of the art, the number and presentation of the art entries and how much people appreciated and enjoyed the art from all over Western Australia. Our Congratulations to all the award winners.

People were in the mood to buy art with nearly 40 art sales happening over the 2 days!

Friday night was the official opening of the festival which was enjoyed by more than 150 people. Sally Hobday, who was the inaugural secretary of the Creative Arts Group 48 yrs ago opened the Festival and cut the cake to celebrate the successful continuation of the Exhibition.

The Dalwallinu Shire provided a wine and cheese evening which was beautifully accompanied by a musical duo.
We are fortunate to have a vibrant and diverse community that enables and supports this on-going event. The
support at so many levels has been wonderful. The community looks forward to our next Biennial Festival
in 2023.
